It does work but it is in very rough condition.
The Chatillon logo on the oval brass plate at the top is barely readable.
The brass number plate where it shows weight in 2 lbs increments is heavily damaged,
especially above the 50 lb mark where its mostly missing.
Still a great decoration or conversation piece.
